  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have gained a better knowledge and skillset in designing and delivering blended learning solutions by attending complimentary Learning webinars and learning from colleagues in the Digital Learning Design Team.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have found the programme disjointed, it lacks flow & consistency. Lots of hurrying up at the beginning with unorganised communications. I felt lost at the beginning with rushed calls and a lack of explanation of requirements - which is still ongoing to this day. Not enjoyable at all.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • As above - very poorly organised. Thank goodness we had a WhatsApp group to lean on each other for support. My coach could be condescending at times and flipped from friendly to critical parent in the blink of an eye. I wouldn't do this type of learning... ever again

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My manager has been supportive and cannot wait for me to receive some proper direction in what is required to get me to my EPA. The Avado Hive system is poor for uploading documents which creates anxiety. No calls or contact from the Apprentice team at all in my journey.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Monthly calls with my coach were too short and needed to be more frequent. I liked being part of a virtual team. The assignment guidance elements were very useful as I would have struggled to understand what the questions were asking. Word counts need revising and increasing for some assignments.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It has enabled me to see my employer in the bigger picture and link what I do every day back to the company strategy. Introducing my to the CiPD website and factsheets has been of great use and I now use these everyday in my interactions with stakeholders.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • No

  • 9a. Would you recommend British Airways to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Simple, the people and the team in which I work both value and respect one another to a high degree. There is an immediate sense of caring from both of my managers and a wealth of praise, good feeling and appreciation for my contributions means the world to me.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to British Airways?
  • Make sure you join the right team with the right manager for your 'work' style. As long as you can adapt and learn the knowledge and skills to contribute to BA's success then go for it. Be careful of the hierarchy and the BA way of doing things.
