In the morning i run housekeeping making sure the hotel is ready for check-in and in the afternoon i am in charge of making sure that guests are satisfied and their information is protected and maintained
I have developed my communication skills and have learnt new skills in terms of finance and GDPR
I enjoy my programme very much as it teaches me new elements to my work as the position is very much learning on the job, so having the programme helps me realise and learn the different ways to do things.
very well structured and every topic can flow from one to the other without it being a big jump and making you wondering why you’ve gone to this topic instead of another one
loads, my line manager and hotel manager are very supportive with my apprenticeship and are happy to help with anything i need
[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] supports me loads for when i need help for anything or an extended deadline for a certain piece of work. he has no issues being able to work around my schedule which i am very appreciative for especially when work can get very busy
I feel that the qualification has helped me tremendously adjust to the role and teach me aspects and responsibilities that i hadn’t known before because they might have not been obvious at the time. it has also helped me improve my customer satisfaction
I am involved for our GOSH fundraising which we do activities or sell items for and doing pi wows as a way to make the guests feel special and recognised
Yes
Because they make sure to look after their employees, especially if they see the potential in you for future positions
Be prepared as it can be hard work but the work always finds a way to be gratifying. especially when you can make a family or child’s day by just having a conversation about what they did that day or giving them some biscuits as a pi wow
