In clifford chance access, we had many different opportunities including discussing with clients , having mentors and being able to come into the office. As a whole this involved Access tutoring, access mentors, access development and many more. This exciting opportunity only comes once in a lifetime so should definitely be useful.
I learnt how to communicate well with clients from a pitch that we were given to do. This task put us in groups to come up with a pitch for buisness and was highly successfull. This developed my communication and public speaking skills as it was the main focus of the task.
I really enjoyed this work experience and i would love to do it every year if i could. It has definitely given me the opportunity to extend my network and meet alot of amazing people. Im very grateful for this opportunity and i definitely think it boosted my self esteem.
My work experience had a very set structure right from the beginning. The outline of this 3 year experience was given to us in the start opening session which we have stuck to. I would definitely say that it has been well prepared and thought through and usefull to all of us.
On 27th of October we were given the opportunity to go into the clifford chance office. This was an incredible experience with such amazing people and views that would make you regret not working there. The friendly and cooperative atmosphere is very thrilling and definitely something that is important in a work environment.
My work experience stays with me through my three years in university and so it will help me develop in all aspects of personal and educational which is a major advantage. Staying with Access and participating actively will then put me onto the Spark scheme which guarantees a training contract at the end.
I was not paid for this experience since i am living in london and i do not need to cover high financial matters however i will be paid starting 2022 and this will be for my access experience and then during spark i will also be paid a certain anount.
Yes there was a whole session on meeting our cohort which were two parts and connecting with them all. This was through activities and sharing usefull information that we could all use. Dicussing tasks with our partners also helped us expand our network. With employees it was quite difficult since it was a working environment but we were met with many nice colleagues who helped us around.

This was an amazing experience that only comes once in a lifetime and so cannot be missed. The opportunities and doors these open for you is incredibly amazing and should definitely be put to use. Everyone should try to apply to this opportunity if they have a good interest in law.
I would say that you really have to be focused and motivated from the very start as law is a hard and competitive sector. But with determination and attention to small aspects this can be alot easier. Knowing what you want from the very start and trying your hardest to achieve it will definitely show in results.
