My day to day role is working within the estate management team and the rural professional team. I am involved in many projects, from maintenance, diversification, inspections, valuations and advising clients on tenancy matters.
The role has improved my communication skills, including building client relationships, advising clients and communicating with tenants and contractors. Data analysis and research have also been a key skills when looking for property information.
I thoroughly enjoy my work and role in the office. I have gained experience throughout the rural team and from experienced professionals. Every day is different, which makes the work enjoyable.
My programme is well organised with a study day once a week and support from my team.
I have received a great amount of support from my employer. My colleagues in the office are also willing to help, meaning you learn from industry experts. We also have a dedicated apprenticeship team who can answer any study related queries.
The training provider is an online university, requiring a lot of independent work and studying. I have regular catch up meetings with an adviser from the training provider to track my progress and to discuss any concerns.
My course has developed my theory, allowing me to better understand my day to day job. I am inputting things I learn at university into my role and this knowledge is built upon by discussions with my team.
The team host networking and young professional events alongside national events where you meet other graduates/ apprentices from outside the region. Savills also runs a number of sports teams and charity challenges each year.
