Deal with the contractual and financial side of construction projects. The work involves "looking" after a set of companies and the works they carry out as well as the overall management of the cost it takes to complete a project.
Since starting i have learnt countless skills, and overall i feel like i have developed as a person .
I enjoy thoroughly the chance to develop new skills each week and believe the set up i have, with one day a week not working and instead focusing on university is imperative to my development.
It is structured well and good support is received from my employer. However, as with most new ventures tweaks do need to be made. Although, I am confident that these will be implemented.
I receive great support from my employer, notably my line manager. I am given the opportunity to shut off from work for an entire day and purely focus on my studies which is a great benefit. Also, they have given me great information which has helped me within my coursework.
The support | receive from my training provider is good, I do however feel in some instances it could improve.
Personally, the knowledge received from university hasn't greatly impacted my work environment. In fact the best way I've found to perform better in my role, has been to just do it and get onto construction sites to mix with other employees to gain a base understanding of construction.
Yes, there are countless. Once on site the social side is great and is welcoming. There is the opportunity for work football team, nights out etc. Additionally, through the company there are many other activities that you can get involved in such as DoFe.
Yes
Because I have enjoyed my time so much and if I were to bring other friends into the business I think they would greatly enjoy it too. Especially with the amount of extra curricular activities you are able to do. I have also already recommended friends.
Be thorough with the application, do research about the role and potential schemes you could be on to show interest.
