I study on a Monday at Uni and work on a variety of projects within the Bridges Team. It is a mixture of office and working from home working within a team to complete a variety of tasks.
Everyday I learn something new. The joys of an apprenticeship is you are learning and implementing it at the same time.
The programme has been great. Some days have been repetitive but on the whole it has been enjoyable and each day different.
The programme is well organised. I can make my programme my own suiting it to how i like to learn. The uni is less organised but I think that is just due to the jump from A levels.
My employer is really supportive. There is always someone who is happy to help me and they will always guide me knowing my very limited experience.
The training provider has been less supportive. it was disorganised at the start, However now I am coming to the end of my year it is becoming more organised and I think it is just the initial enrolment when they are less supportive.
I definitely learn much more on the job, however the key knowledge provided from University is really useful for completing tasks in my day to day job.
My office is very social and there is a variety of extra curricular activities I involve myself in. Similarly there are many events to attend with the ICE and now Covid restrictions are lifting many of these are back in person networking events.
Yes
Everyone is really welcoming. Nothing is ever a problem and everyone is always willing to help.
Go for it, apply but take care in reading the values and have a few key projects that you are interested in prepared to talk about.
