  • Yes, a better knowledge of legal processes, career paths, and general workplace etiquette.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme was really enjoyable. It’s important to note it also didn’t feel exclusive - I had no knowledge of the legal field as nobody in my family had even gone to university. I was able to get stuck in like everyone else

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It was clearly organised and the group work was always good. The final day there was an outside treasure hunt (I think) and that was a nice way to end things.

  • Though there was no direct mentorship from the program officers, we were connected with trainees who were so excited to share their experiences with us. They all connected with us, and we had practise interviews with them.

  • There were social activities planned, and people socialised at lunchtimes and after work

  • Has a very clear standard of work ethic, and is very welcoming to anyone who expresses a desire to work in that way


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Clifford Chance?
  • Don’t be afraid that you don’t know anything about law - position it as a learning curve for you. You might know you are good at problem solving and managing clients, so put your best foot forward!
