I have learnt full PMO Skills since starting my apprenticeship at Capgemini. Additionally, Capgemini's internal University has allowed me to also further my knowledge, skills and understanding of Project Management and Commercial Management.
I really enjoy being on my programme. There is the opportunity to rotate around different accounts and projects, enabling me to enhance my networking, communication, and PMO Skills, as well as understanding further areas of the business. Additionally, it has enabled me to meet life-long friends.
The programme I am on is very well structured. Lectures are organised to fit in around our working day and are not too frequent, making it easier to manage both work and a degree.
At Capgemini, you will receive an abundance of support. On joining, you will be allocated a buddy and a reviewer. These will help your transition into Capgemini smooth, clear and easy. As well as this, everyone at Capgemini is happy to help, no matter their grade or position.
Quarterly reviews are held with your University coach and your manager, as a chance to review your progress both in your Degree studies and your job. Additionally, University coaches are there to answer any questions you may have about your course, and also help you to submit Off the Job training to go towards your degree.
So far in my apprenticeship, my studies towards my degree, have enabled me to join various initiatives at Capgemini, to help market Capgemini's GAP opportunities and also enhance their brand in the eye of future apprentices. Additionally, it has given me the strategic management skills, to help make certain processes better and get more involved with networks such as the Early and Emerging Talent community.
There are plenty of social events to get involved with, and to get the chance to meet other apprentices and Capgemini colleagues physically, not just virtually. As well as this, there is the opportunity to attend professional networking events and represent Capgemini, at events such as volunteering days and conferences.
