I work in A&E, i provide patient with an assessment whereby i take their hostory, examine them, if appropriate i take bloods and diagnostics. the aim to diagnose the patient with a condition and treat accordingly. however this does not always happen but i am able to rule out red flags
yes my first module Clinical Examination and Decision Making (27590062_2122_O) was fascinating i have truly learnt alot which has allowed me to practice safely in practice. the external tutors have been most helpful with the delivery of the sessions especially an ex paramedic who has trained to be an ACP
As previously stated, I truly enjoyed the Clinical Examination and Decision Making (27590062_2122_O) module due to its relevance. I am still enjoying thr programme however looking at the up and coming modules i dont feel the rest will inspire me as much as Clinical Examination and Decision Making (27590062_2122_O) has
I have only completed one module presently which is Clinical Examination and Decision Making (27590062_2122_O) however that has been perfectly structured. currently i am completing Research Methodology for Quality Improvement (27590065_2122_5) which has been excellent however i feel the education module has not been well structured as it was ll online and not relevant to the assignment
in the Research Methodology for Quality Improvement (27590065_2122_5) and Clinical Examination and Decision Making (27590062_2122_O) i have gained lots of support and encouragement, i do not feel we get the desired amount of support with our assignments. other unis will allow you to send parts of your assignment for proof reading
i get alot of support at my job in ED. i can ask anyone questions and i do not feel like i am a hinderance. the medics all accept i am in a training role which has a 2 year duration therefore they are all very patient with me thankfully
Clinical Examination and Decision Making (27590062_2122_O) has definetly helped me clinically and i use these skills daily. the education module has not helped me at all. the current module Research Methodology for Quality Improvement (27590065_2122_5) has allowed me to look at my job from a different perspective that i never imagined
as far as i am aware from a work perspective there are none however from a uni perspective there is football, archery, dance, badminton. there is literally any sports you can imagine. however from a 'mature' student perspective i would not feel comfortable accessing these extra curricular activities due to my age
Yes
this is dependent on their career. if you are driven and want to advance your clinical practice it is an excellent course however the amount of knowledge and attention you need to give to the course it is not for the lazy or faint hearted. you have to have a drive to complete it
my tips would be, ensure you are ready for a difficult 2 year course, do not have any big occasions in your life like a new baby or wedding because they will certainly put pressure on your day to day life. ensure your prepared for 2 heavy years of training
