my role within this company is a test and quality engineer, this job is about fault finding, checking, analyzing and solving many problems. On a daily basis I would usually apply visuals, continuity test, power up to 240v and analyzing schemes. Then when I'm not testing I'm either checking goods in to online drawings or uploading data to our database for meetings.
I have learnt many skills not just about my job but life skills after talking to more experienced people such as my line manager, mentors and other workers around the site.
I enjoy working here at siemens as there is a lot to learn and many jobs to do when working in the test and quality department.
at siemens my training programme is organized well however my NVQ and college programme which is not ran by Siemens is not as organized
I receive a lot of support from my line manager Simon Logan and my mentors within the test area, also other workers such as the HR and other departments.
my NVQ and college assessors could give a bit more support when trying to hit those grades.
My training provider at siemens gives me a lot of knowledge to my role, this enables me to apply this to my jobs and perform much better than I used to.
there are many extra-curricular activities at work
