My role is a fitter on locomotives (trains). On a day to day basis the job role will require maintenance of the vehicle and renewing and changing parts that may be faulty, expired or broken.
I have learnt plenty of new skills such as learning how to use tools that I haven’t used before gaining an understanding on basics mechanics and engineering.aswell as going on training courses which develop existing skills and learning new skills such as understanding of electrics.
I enjoy my programme a lot
My programme is structured and your able to know and be told what you will be doing on a regular basis.
I receive a lot support from my employer aswell as check ups and feedback.
I receive a good amount of support from my training provider.
It helps me to perform better as it allows me to gain more knowledge aswell as being safe in the depot.
There are multiple amounts from social events to sports and there is a lot of fun activities that go to towards helping charities.

It’s a good company where you can learn in a safe environment, they are good at improving all there workers aswell as pushing you to be the best that you can be so that you can reach your potential.
To express your key skills to be yourself and to be able to express things that you do outside of work such as sports and other hobbies. This will allow you to express who you are aswell as showing certain skills that you may have such as leadership skills.
