Managing audit programme, carrying out internal audits to ISO standards (9001, 14001, 44001, 45001, 55001), managing corrective and preventative action process, updating staff structure, updating contract documentation on an annual basis, carrying out compliance audits, managing compliance for office, working with operational managers to review and update processes and procedures.
Definitely! Since doing my degree I have developed many new skills. Everything we do in class is on a theory basis, I can then go back to my workplace and apply these new skills. My main achievement, for me, is my confidence. Completing my degree has exposed me to many situations I'd usually shy away from.
I do really enjoy my degree programme. As previously mentioned, it helps articulate areas and flows within the business to support my knowledge. However, what I would say is it is very difficult to manage a full time job with a degree and at times, can be very stressful. Something to bare in mind.
In year 1 and 2, it was structure well. We did one unit, had the assessment and then moved onto the next. I am currently on year 3 and this is not the case. We are learning two units at once, and being assessed with 3 assignments due within the space of 3 weeks, very difficult to manage with a full time job.
My employer is fantastic! From the start they have supported me in all my learnings. I get 20% of the job which is religiously stuck to and I am always given the space and time to complete my assignments. The project aspect is a little more difficult to find time for, but I am definitely supported.
This is hit and miss. Some tutors are absolutely fabulous and go above and beyond to help you; others do not respond, which makes it very difficult when you have tight deadlines approaching. Before year 3, all our tutors gave their full support - this year not as good, with many not responding to emails.
I feel that my qualification does enable me to perform better in my role. It helps me to understand the wider business and its purpose to exist. I have been able to analyse the strategy which has given me an understanding of how my day to day job contributes to the wider strategic goals of the business, giving me a purpose and goal to work to.
No, my organisation does not run an extra curricular activities to get involved in. We do support local charities however, and carry out cake sales, quizzes, competitions and events like that. We also have our annual Christmas party where everyone from all locations get together to celebrate and catch up.

I have been with Ringway Jacobs for 7 years now, and have progressed throughout my career and have a clear career path ahead. I have had a total of 4 positions since being here and if you have a drive and passion to grow, the company will enable this for you.
My advice to anyone applying anywhere is to be yourself! Do not be nervous, think of it as a chat, rather than an interview; it is an opportunity to showcase yourself, your personality and your skills. Ensure you prepare in advance and do your research on the company to demonstrate your commitment.
