I am a Business Analysts Apprentice. My job role includes me understanding, analyse, and improving the business needs by recommending solutions that can help the business become more efficient. I currently work on various projects, I schedule meetings or workshop where I elicit, document and validate requirements with the stakeholders.
I have learned a lot of different techniques while working with Sage as a Business Analysts Apprentice. Key skills that I have learnt is to elicit requirements, documentation skills for traceability's for projects, ability to using different Business Analysts tools and templates, strengthening my communication, analytical thinking and stakeholder management skills.
There is no scale to how much I love, enjoy and thankful to the programme, as it has helped me get on track to my goals in life. Also, the programme is a stepping stone to achieving my dreams of becoming a certified Business Analysts and providing me with all the support and skills that I need.
My programme is very organised as the apprenticeship side of the programme is knowledge based (theory) and Sage is skill and behaviour based (practical). This works very well each other as the knowledge base helps me to understand what a business analysts is and then working with Sage on projects, helps me to use that knowledge on real projects.
I receive full attention and support from my employer at any given time, they have always been there to support me If I wasn't sure about something in a project, and will take time out of what they're doing to help me understand, guide me to the next step and see if there are any more issues at hand.
I receive a lot of support and care when working towards my qualification. My training provider always makes sure that I am comfortable and understand what needs to be done in my goals, by checking up on me randomly during the week and even setting a meeting every week to get an update on what I'm doing and what the next step will be.
My training provider gives me a lot of resources like the introduction on what a Business Analysts does, what skills and methods a Business Analysts uses, the type of problems a Business Analysts faces and how to solve those issues. Due to this, I feel very confident in myself and my performance as a Business Analysts Apprentice.
Yes! Once a month the Web Strategist team get together in person to discuss a self evaluation on the team and then go out for drinks to have a bit of a social connection, and this was helpful to have because of the Lockdowns and social restrictions that was placed during Covid-19.

Who wouldn't want to work for the most loving, caring, welcoming, innovative workplace in the world?! Sage has displayed a dream come true company, where colleagues are friendly and supportive and the work culture makes the company feel less of a business, but more of a family.
