  • I work within a general practice Building Surveying team providing both consultancy advice to clients and project consultancy.

  • I have furthered my understanding of construction techniques and developed my IT and communication skills.

  • Varied work, great colleagues, opportunity to learn on the job, and have great professionals who invest time and effort into my development

  • Both Savills and my training provider are excellent at organizing my learning which allows me to concentrate solely on my education.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I work closely with 10+ Chartered Building Surveyors at Savills who regularly invest time into my education. Beyond my immediate team, i am very well supported by the business and have all the resources I need to progress as a surveyor.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I received a great deal of support from UCEM to ensure both my education and well-being requirements are met.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I am studying for a degree in Building Surveying which interlinks with my day-to-day job role at Savills. Often I find myself writing an assignment on a topic for university and concurrently working on a real-life instruction relating to the same toipic.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are plenty of opportunities both within Savills and UCEM to partake in social events. I ensure I attend as many as my diary will allow, meeting like minding professionals and start growing my own network of contacts.
