I'm a Software Engineer so on a daily basis I normally do some coding, testing or deployments of the code. The job varies day to day and most days are different with new issues and challenges.
Yes I have learnt how to write code in Java, C# and Powershell. I have also learned how to test code/products as well as how the enviroments that host the code work.
It's a challengeing program where you have to juggle both a full time job and work for the apprenticeship. However it's fun , enjoyable and each day is different.
To Capgemini we are seen as the future of the company so they try thier best to look after us and make sure we are happy with the roles and work we face.
The program has gone through a number of changes sinice I started and it's still changing. The content of the program is always changing and so is how they run the program. However overall the team that run the program are well organized and try to keeps us informed of the changes
We had a 3 months boot camp at the start of the apprenticeship from the training provider however sinice then have had little contact. We have meetings every 6 - 8 weeks where they set us work but apart from that have little contact
Capgemini try to support us as much as possible and make sure we are progressing in both real work and apprenticship work. There are multiple monthly meetings where we discuss the program with our managers. We also have reviewers who I talk to every other week.
Capgemini offer one of the best paid apprenticeships in the market. They pay a salaray based on the current market rate as well as paying for the apprenticeship and degree
There are many things going on around Capgemini inside and outside of work, Capgemini does a lot of charity work and also works with the Princes Trust
Yes
Capgemini is one of the best places I have worked and has the best program on the market
Just be yourself and enjoy it.
