  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many new skills. Such as general engineering or Dyson specific lingo, practical engineering techniques, soft skills like communication both in person and via email or Microsoft teams. Time management has had to improve with the extensive amount of work we need to do.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have only been here 9 months, but I fell like I've been here my whole life. It is a vast ecosystem which contains great support staff, line managers, academic staff and more. I have enjoyed every bit of moving from home to complete this course.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is the first year where Dyson have provided the BEng degree themselves so there are still some holes in polices which haven't been tested yet. However, I am still happy with the organisation of the team, and it will obviously improve massively over the next few years.

  • I have learnt so much in the last 9 months which has helped me perform better and more efficient in the workplace. Being in the workplace for 3 days a week really helps enforce the skills needed to become a hire-able engineer.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
