  • Responsible for the learning and development of all employees within our Premium Bars division. Developing chefs, front of house and management teams. Promoting careers within the business and future learning opportunities and qualifications.

  • Yes! My people management skills have improved since starting the course. I've also found I'm a better listener, and take time to understand the issue and a potential outcome rather than jumping to the first solution.

  • Enjoyable but a big commitment. Great if you've got a lot to learn within L&D.

  • I was one of the first people to sit this qualification, therefore it could've been better organised and managed however as a first co-hort this is to be somewhat expected.

  • Really well. I've learned a range of new skills, and expanded on knowledge I already had which has made me a more well rounded employee.

  • Networking events, social occasions and a lot more.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Despite being a huge company, there are lots of opportunities - you just need to know where to look for them and when to know you might be ready for a new challenge!


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Marston's?
  • Just do it. I started off working in one of our bars as a waitress and I'm now the training manager for a selection of incredible venues and brilliant teams. If you know what you want in your career, there's probably an opportunity to be successful in Marstons.
