Completing training courses for the first year, with University block release before moving on to placements within the business in the years after.
Learnt lots of machining skills on lathes and milling machines. Other manual skills within electrical modules also learnt. Interpersonal skills have been developed through group activities
Loving everything so far. Enjoying building a base knowledge before building on this in placements.
It is quite well organised, however it would be better if we knew what placements we were going to be on sooner. Loading plan is very useful.
Lots of support continuously.
Lots of support, good prompts if struggling with anything. Reviews regularly to make sure any problems can be caught early
I feel the qualification does help in a lot of respects, however I feel the relevance is likely to increase more as I go through the course, as at the moment it is not that linked.
Social activities are available however, there are fewer within the apprentice only group. Could be more advertising of activities available.
