  • The ACCESS Scheme is a two-year development programme consisting of twelve elements, including a work experience, mentoring and tutoring.

  • Skills: communication, team work, collaboration, public speaking skills, commercial awareness

  • 3. To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?
  • To a large extent, I enjoyed the work experience. There was a focus on transferable skills which I preferred as they would be relevant for any career I chose to pursue afterwards.

  • It was very well organised. There was a timetable with a variety of sessions and with clear times to ask questions to trainees and associates.

  • 5. How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?
  • I learnt a lot about the culture, especially since most of the panel speakers did the ACCESS scheme themselves so it was great to learn about their journey's.

  • 6. How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?
  • It was key as it made me realise I definitely want to pursue a career in commercial law. The firm was in contact with us regularly after the work experience element to have coaching sessions and learn more about the firm

  • The scheme was virtual but any travelling after the work experience element was reimbursed.

  • There were numerous Q&A sessions to interact with trainees and associates.

  • Yes

  • The firm has a really great culture and has a real focus on inclusion.

  • Tailor your application to applying. Be yourself and have fun during the scheme. It's a great experience.
