Responsible for the day to day operation of multiple sites across the UK this includes all operational aspects from Health and Safety, training, resourcing and Logistics. The role differs from day to day depending on the clients requirements within the contractual limitations set at contract start and all subsequent amendments.
I have learnt throughout the apprenticeship that in order to improve the performance of my team I need to fully understand and improve my own skillset. In order to do this I need to honestly appraise myself on a regular basis and then continually strive to achieve better results using the knowledge and understanding gained of my own strengths and weaknesses.
The program has introduced me to lots of new and diverse CEVA staff and with this has given me lots of very diverse perspectives of how to best achieve results. It has been very enjoyable to see the impact that the new interactions have had on my actions and perspective in a relatively short space of time
The L3 apprenticeship has been exceedingly well structured to allow remote delivery of almost every aspect of the course, the training providers have facilitated a great learning environment and been very supportive of everyone involved. The one to one mentoring used by [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] and [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] to further candidates knowledge and confidence shows a great level of service.
My Employer has encouraged my participation and provided support throughout the process so far. The onus for learning however remains with the individual and the company expects a certain amount of the work to be completed in the individuals own time. This has at times proved to be a challenge with working hours and availability of training sessions.

When I have had any technical queries the support staff at Linden have also proved exceedingly helpful.
The confidence and knowledge gained through participation in the apprenticeship has proved invaluable in my day to day role. In terms of knowledge gained the learning provided by linden has been very informative and given a greater insight into other contracts within CEVA Logistics and outside companies and the wider logistics industry in general.
Due to the COVID pandemic and restrictions put in place to negate the negative effects associated most social activities stopped 2 years ago and have yet to be restarted. Networking tends to be using social media platforms such as Facebook or Linked in and not physical events however some networking is now taking place again as more training returns to head office.
Yes
I have worked for CEVA Logistics/ TNT logistics for 20 plus years now and while there is always room for improvement as a company CEVA spend a lot of effort training and improving things for its staff. the recent takeover by CMACGM has further added to the investment in both facilities and staff meaning that things are looking up.
CEVA Logistics is a great place to work with lots of opportunities to gain experience and training. Logistics is evolving and new roles are being created all the time so whatever you are looking for in a company CEVA and its parent company CMACGM have a lot to offer the right candidates.
