Assistant Cost Consultant - carrying out valuations, cost reports, cost plans. Working on various projects simultaneously.
Everything I know about Cost Consultancy I have learnt through my job, I have developed my communication and presentation skills during my apprenticeship
I enjoy my programme, the team i work with is great, we have internal training to develop my skills, there is a great network of support all around
Very well structured, we receive training schedules at the beginning of the academic year, we have catch ups between the uni and my employer
I am very well supported by my employer, I know I can speak to my manager, peers or anyone about any issues I am having and it will be taken seriously
I receive a lot of support we are given a study day before every exam to give us more time to prepare for exams. My manager and peers are willing to help if I have any questions about university
I believe it has given me a lot of knowledge on other roles within the construction industry which I wouldn't have learnt while working, learning the technicalities of contracts and construction teams has proven very useful
There is a netball team that you can join, we have quarterly team socials and quarterly sector socials. Volunteer days are organised for the whole team yearly
