My role consists of supporting the team and department on projects that are happening. This includes everything from planning the project to executing the project. On a day-to-day basis I will often liaise with team members to check progress whilst creating project plans and supporting others.
I have learnt lots of new skills as well as developing existing skills. I have learnt how to engage and communicate with key stakeholders, public speaking, facilitate meetings. I have further developed my Excel skills and planning skills which includes being able to effectively communicate with colleagues.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme and like how I am heavily involved in most things we do.
My programme is very well structured. I am able to work 4 days a week at the FCA and then take a study day to complete my apprenticeship.
My employer provides me with a lot of support, I have weekly meetings with my line manager where we discuss what I have been up to, how I am coping and what the future plans are. I also have quarterly reviews with the HoD.
I have a meeting with my guide from Bpp every 6 weeks bur I am able to reach out at any time if I have any questions or want to check anything. I have made use of this by sending her work for her to check and provide feedback.
It has enabled me to understand the knowledge and reasoning behind particular skills which has allowed me to implement the skills into my role.
We recently did something called the CEO challenge which was a 6 month programme consisting of grads and apprentices where we create and launch a project. There are also sports teams and social activities on a regular basis.
Yes
It is a good place to work where everyone there is keen on helping each other out and helping people develop. There is a strong inclusive culture where you are encouraged to get involved in as much as you can.
Do you research on the company and relate your skills back to what they do.
