My role includes drafting Land Registry forms and submitting various applications. Additionally, drafting other forms and updating solicitors on the progress of their Land Registry applications. I also take part in a variety of different internal training and courses which are aimed at helping progress my knowledge.
I have learnt lots of new skills including time management where I have learnt to balance a variety of different tasks whilst keeping on top of deadlines. I have also been able to develop my confidence and people skills by talking to colleagues and a variety of people on the phone.
I really enjoy the programme and the concept of the apprenticeship. It has helped me gain so much confidence and experience in such a small amount of time. The Experience has been amazing and I have been able to get help from great colleagues with lots of experience. Everyone is always willing to help and we get continuous feedback which allows us to progress our knowledge and develop our skills every day.
The programme is very organised and well planned. We are given lots of information and training to help us and there is always someone who is able to check and advise on the work we have done. We also have regular catch ups with our supervisors where we can relay anything we may be struggling with and also any information we may need about work or the apprenticeship.
There is lots of support from everyone. All of our colleagues are more than happy to help us when we need it. My supervisor is very helpful and is always available if needed. We have monthly catch ups where we are able to talk about any questions we may have. We also get plenty of feedback on our progress and performance within our team.
We get a lot of information in relation to our course. This is provided at the start but we are also designated people who we can contact throughout the course if we have any additional queries. We have a different tutor each term depending on which module we are studying, who is always very helpful.
It definitely helps a lot as we are able to use what we have learnt to benefit us in the workplace. This means we are able to understand things better and carry out a variety of tasks. It also enables me to broaden my knowledge both within the workplace and also when I am studying. We also gain a larger understanding of the work we carry out and why certain tasks are necessary.
There is a number of activities that we are encouraged to get involved in. This includes social groups and sport groups. This is a great way to network and meet more people whilst having a good time.
Yes
It is such a fantastic opportunity which is so beneficial for a career in law. We are able to gain a significant amount of experience at a young age whilst also working alongside talented colleagues who encourage and help us to do the best we can.
I think one of the biggest tips is to research the firm to enable you to relax and be prepared! As well as this having an enthusiastic attitude and being yourself is also important. I think it is crucial that you have a positive attitude and that you want to learn and succeed.
