Identifying the root cause of issues within products from the service, determining an effective solution - validating the new design through compliance with relevant testing and compliance. Co-ordinating the implement of the fix into production, monitoring its fix effectiveness and creating preventative measures in order to design/test out the failure.
7-Step Problem solving process - RCA, FTA IDFMEA, Pugh Matrix tools all leveraged. General project management, communication and presentation skills. Different leadership styles and conflict management techniques.
Quite well, it was alot of work and sometimes difficult to learn without the opportunites to apply leadership techniques.
Quite well, assessment heavy - little opportunity to workshop/try out skills without much leadership opportunity.
Alot - adequate time and support, encouragement of the scheme and skills developed and also recognition for completion.
Alot of support from the tutor, good enthusiasm and engagement. Broke it down piece by piece to make it more manageable.
It has provided me awareness to good theories and techniques.
