I do reporting and analytics with some project work included. This is often ad hoc as we get lots of different requests. Often we will need to provide metrics on volume of customers in collections, which stage they are at and other bits of information. I also look after some cash reporting for our collections totals.
Both. I already had some experience with SQL and database design but i have increased my knowledge in these arears due to the apprenticeship. I have also learned how to create visualisations that i can use for reporting using Python. On top of that i have learned some basic modelling skills and only hope to improve on these.
I really enjoy the programme. It can be hard sometimes to balance my time between my job and studies as i have to do this in working hours. Sometimes the online practice takes a bit longer than quoted, but i would prefer to take the time to fully understand the content.
Very, we have done the programme entirely online and all of our sessions have been via zoom. My assigned mentor is very approachable and helpful with any questions that i have and i enjoy the online workshops. Our organisation is bought in to the benefits of the programme as well which helps.
I receive lots of support from my employer. There are a few people in my team that are also on the course and can always lean on them for some help. My line manager is aware of the asks of the programme and how the new skills will benefit the team.
I receive lots of support. They are always willing to answer questions and provide additional material when we ask for it. The online practices are well resourced and try to give us a really good introduction to the topic at hand. My mentor is always available to help when required.
We have access to a lot of data and so having a new skillset to apply to my everyday role is really beneficial. The programme asks us to use real working examples for our projects so it helps us to focus down the demonstration of the skills we are learning.
There are some, but these haven't been going due to the pandemic. We are starting to open up again and more things are being booked for social events. Alot of the team have been made permanently home based and they will not have as much of an opportunity to attend social events.
Yes
I am proud to work for Vodafone. I think they are a progressive company that put their employees first. They are supportive when it comes to working from home around a family and i like that they encourage personal development. I would be content to recommend them as a place of work.
Be yourself. Show that you can work as a team as this is very important in order to get things done at Vodafone. I joined through the graduate scheme and have now been at the company for 7 years, so they promote retention of staff. There are lots of roles for all skillsets.
