As a DevOps engineer I have been learning and working hands on with various technologies such as Github, Python, Javascript, AWS etc. On day to day basis we have our daily meetings where we are assigned tickets that we need to complete this involves writing and pushing code in the digital cloud incorporating the CI/CD principles.
I have learning various skill such as writing codes in various languages. Source control of code using technologies such as git hub, digital cloud computing using cloud provides like AWS and Azure. I have also learnt creating and managing apps. Apart from digital skills I have learnt many soft skills such public speaking and working in an agile environment.
The best part of my work day is that no two days are alike. I am fortunate to be working in a team that help junior engineers to reach their potential. We work in an agile environment and follow blameless culture which mean that we learn from the faults of others and plan not encounter it again. This has helped me to work confidently and grow in my career .
I have been working as well been a part of the apprenticeship program which is 18 months long. I was well introduced into KPMG by our manager and quickly assigned me a service team. We are also being provided training by Corndel via workshops, group calls and project exercises which is very systematic. I work 4 days a week and 1 day is dedicated to study the apprenticeship material. I certainly feel the program is well balanced and organised.
KPMG is one of the best organisation to work for, and I can say this from my personal experience. Every new joiner is given much support and resources needed to complete their jobs. First of all, we were provided with laptop, desk, chairs and monitors to embrace 'work from home' and with regards to study materials we are provided with resources and access to platforms such as Acloud guru, codecademy and various others internally and this helps to grow in job as well as in knowledge.
My experience with Corndel has been great. They have such understanding tutors and they are aware of that every student progresses differently and try their best to help the student to reach their true potential. Cordel has a 121 call facility with their tutors and the students can book calls if they need extra help and this facility has help me greatly to progress my learning.
The learning structure provided by Corndel is systematic and this helps to keep our progress at a good pace . Corndel has many module and each module is explained hands on. And the best part of these modules is that they are relevant to our jobs and help us to get the over view of technical skills. I definitely feel I know more about my job while completing this apprenticeship.
KPMG is gives priority to work life balance and puts our mental health first. They organise many events quarterly, monthly and weekly, Where we get opportunity to meet our colleagues who are working across the country. Also, we get many corporates discounts to fitness centres that can help to keep our physical health too. KMPG organises walks, football matches an other activities with support our picked charity Marie Curie.

KPMG is one of the big four audit companies in the world and has ranks high among places to work for. KPMG has turned my life around as they really care for their employee's progress and wellbeing. They provide all the support that one needs to work progress in their work. All my managers and colleagues have been kind and helpful. I can certainly say that you would not regret joining this amazing organisation.
KPMG always keeps the job roles updated on their websites and the UI of it makes it simple for anyone to apply. They usually have more than one rounds of interviews. So my advice would be to keep your CV polished and believe in yourself cause they they hire the person who shows enthusiasm, eagerness to learn and is always curious cause the technical skills can be learnt while at the job.
