My role as a receptionist starts with making sure everythings ok when guests leave and preparing everything for the new guests to arrive. welcoming the guests on arrival, checking them in and making sure there needs are met. Help with any enquiries or anything a guest needs. Making there stay memorable from start to finish! :)
Starting this apprenticeship was new to me as i was a housekeeper. So moving from housekeeping to reception has been a whole new experience! Ive learnt all the skills to hopefully make me a great receptionist that can put a guests needs and wsnts first, ensuring everything is done to brand standards!

Support through my employer hasnt been great, the first few months were tough for me as most of what i was learning was through guess work rather than learning through work..but things have now changed so now am getting the help and support i need to gain the skills needed!

Theres been times where ive felt like giving up but after a chat with rachael everything seemed ok again! Shes literally amazing. If theres been things i dont understand, ive asked and [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] has explained in a way which made me understand!
It helps me to perform better as the subjects ive been learning give me a more in depth understanding of my role! Although training on the job has made things alot easier as i have more knowledge in regards to brand standards and even to understznding the different rules and legislations
