  • I am new to the role - still in training but it will involve deliveries, waste management and duty manager responsibilities

  • Enjoyed being in a learning environment.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Well organised as was current showroom advisor was hard to get the time to complete the course work during work hours so some of this was completed at home.

  • I got support but as said previously it was hard to get the dedicated time to complete parts of the apprenticeship. I feel this was because I am the only full time showroom advisor.

  • My tutor was always available via email or phone when needed.

  • Gave me better understanding into the importance of stock management.

  • It's a great place to work - everyone is really friendly and helpful when needed.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to B&Q?
  • Be honest when applying if you are looking for job to just get by or whether this is somewhere you want to progress through the company. I would also recommend that they look at the excellent apprenticeship program which is offered.
