My role is Digital Marketing Apprentice for Marston's PLC. Within this role, I am responsible for the digital marketing campaigns by Marstons's which involves regular meetings with creative agencies, marketing consultants, data analysis companies and tech based organisations. I am also involved with photography sessions and data reports
The new skills I have learnt are mainly in a creative context so for example, creating and going through the whole process of content used for email, websites, social media posts and even photography for in pub screens. have also had to travel a lot for the job which has made me very well organised with time
I genuinely enjoy my programme. I wanted to do an apprenticeship initially because I needed professional experience at an established organisation but also to be able to work towards a qualification that would genuinely increase my chances of securing a more senior role within digital marketing later on in my career
My Digital Marketing Apprenticeship trained by QA Limited has been very well organised. I have been informed regularly and thoroughly about all ongoing procedures via email and through my portal too. My trainer is always just an email away and generally everything is very clearly set out for my ease
I receive a lot of support from my employer and all of my colleagues within my department. The HR department have been very helpful and understanding and my colleagues always allow time for me to complete and fulfil my Apprenticeship responsibilities to the best of my ability within a time frame
I receive a lot of help from QA Limited, my training provider. Whether it is answering any questions I may have or providing thorough feedback on drafts I have submitted for a deadline, I know my trainer and their colleagues are always on hand to support me in my ventures
I believe that my qualification helps me massively throughout my day to day job because there is a lot of organisational work to be done and a lot of self reflective work too which allows me to critically analyse myself as an employee but also as a person in a workplace.
Within the professional organisation there is a healthy opportunity for socialising with my colleagues. There are opportunities for team bonding by spending time together as a team outside of work plus there are sports facilities in my office which can help to destress and relax whilst at the office too
Yes
Marston's is a very well established organisation with amazing opportunities for personal and professional growth. The office is state of the art and is the most sophisticated company I have ever worked for. The colleagues and staff culture is friendly and supportive which always makes my life and job easier
If I was to give any advice to people potentially applying to Marston's either for an apprenticeship or for a job I would say that you should commit entirely to your ambitions and give the most professional and social and best version of yourself to make the most of the situation
