The role focuses on the management of a production's finances and time, as well as the organisation of it as a whole and using what resources are available as effectively as possible. This can range from arranging transport, negotiating with agents or managing budgets.
I have learnt new key skills specific to the job role and the department I'm working in. Such as: how to cross examine e-Cats and budgets, setting up call sheets, negotiating with agents and arranging studio spaces for the talent to perform at.
I enjoy it a lot. Coming from a more creative background, it's different to what I'm used to, but that's why I applied. I wanted to really explore another side of production that I hadn't been able to previously and that's what I'm getting.

Being apart of the BBC lives up to its legacy as a cornerstone of broadcasting and production. Not just in terms of it's output and opportunity for training, but for the people involved and those you work with and learn form.
First and foremost - be authenticate, do your best and keep going. When I applied, the process felt like walking into complete darkness, really unsure of where I was heading and daunting, but just by taking one step at a time you can get through that and to the other side.
