I work as an assistant management accountant. My role includes reviewing overheads, posting journals and working closely to build relationships with the business.
I have learned a lot both within my role and with the apprenticeship. From my role side of it, there is always constant development and I always feel comfortable discussing with my manager if I feel as though I have been stagnant for a while. From the apprenticeship side I am learning how to be an accountant and learning all the specific parts of legislation
I very much enjoy my programme, the tutors are great and my workplace is fantastic in letting us be able to study whilst working full time.
Very well organised
I receive an immense amount of support by both my manager, colleagues and higher management.
I currently complete the live online sessions with Kaplan Financial. These sessions are interactive and you feel like you can speak up if something is not quite sinking in
I feel as though my qualification is paramount in order for me to perform better in my role. I am learning things constantly that I can put into practice at work.
Yes, I actually do a lot of extra curricular. I am a mentor for other apprentices within the business and also I am part of our social committee who hold events for staff both in the office and out.
Yes
I have worked at Balfour Beatty since being 16 years of age. I love the values the company holds and also the opportunities we are given as learning students.
It's the best thing you'll do!
