As a Data analytics apprentice I take part in multiple roles in Clara Analytics. I have taken part in being a Business Analyst and have understood how to help out and write user stories and test apps as well. I have also had the opportunity to test out apps produced by the team. I also help oversee the Benefits Tracker and the feedback app
Most definitely! I have leant how to write out user stories, test apps, develop apps, use PowerBI. The list cab go on. I have learnt a lot. I have also acquired an AAT in bookkeeping as well since KPMG is an accounting company. I have definitely learnt a lot of soft skills too!
I am really enjoying my apprenticeship! It truly is amazing. The reason why I say this is because I am learning so much here. I am understanding how to interact with others in a workplace and help drive a team to success as well. I am learning how to use different softwares.
At first, my apprenticeship wasn't structured too well. It was really hard to tell what was happening and understand what me and the other apprentices could have done to anticipate what we could have done to prepare for our apprenticeship. but gradually things began to fall into place. Things began to make more sense
I receive an immense amount of support from my manager. He is truly the best, and I hope he is aware of this. He is so understanding and caring too! He will help me to understand how to strike a balance between work and my degree. He was once and E grade so he understands what it is like to take time to learn and work
We receive a good amount of support from the training provider. We have calls to see how the apprenticeship is going and to express my struggles and strengths. The coach I have is genuinely really nice. She gives reviews and feedback so that I can improve my work and succeed in my degree
Most definitely. It is truly helpful. The softwares that we use are the softwares that we are taught about. I have used the skills that I have learnt in Excel and I have used the knowledge that I have received in class to produce Entity Relationship Diagrams. This qualification is helping me to build confidence when it comes to these softwares.
Yes there is! There is a lot to do. There are activities for all types of people. There is a particular group that stands out to me in particular. ESG. This group focuses on environmental, social and governance issues. They gather and share ideas. This stood out to me most because I quite like initiatives that focus on the environment.
Yes
I have learnt so much in this company and I have built confidence by working here due to the situations and circumstances I have been thrown in. It has helped me understand how to work with different types if people and a lot more. If it has helped me so much why won't it also help a friend? Without a doubt it will!
Enjoy the process. It may be a bit nerve racking to apply for KPMG at first, especially as it is one of the Big 4, but it is 100% worth it. Also, be yourself. At work you aren't pressured into being something you are not. Your accepted for who you are. All in all, enjoy the process.
