From day-to-day I am involved on an Audit team where it is my responsibility to carry out testing of the clients accounts to ensure that they are inline with accounting policies and all transactions are accurate and correct. We will have meetings with the client to discuss our progress and findings over the course of the audit
I have become more proficient in using programs such as excel. As this is a key part of our job, a lot of our documentation is done in the form of a work paper in excel. I have also learnt a lot more about accounting as I am taking my AAT professional qualification leading up to taking the ACA
The programme is very well structured. We have a dedicated qualifications team that sets up all our exams and tuition. I also like having the opportunity to do actual work outside of our qualification where I am able to see how what we are studying applies in a real life situation
The programme is very well structured. We have a dedicated qualifications team that sets up all our exams and tuition. Additionally, there is further support that you can get should you be struggling. There is a clear timeline of when each exam is to be taken and when the tuition will take place.
There is plenty of support available should you need it. We have a dedicated qualifications team that you can reach out to with any questions or concerns regarding exams, tuition or anything related to the professional qualifications. If you are ever feeling overwhelmed you can reach out and they will support you and your needs.
Before the exam there is always an out of hours forum available that you can access to ask any questions you may have and they will help you. Also, we are provided with plenty of practice questions and mock exams to help revise along with a step ladder system that allows us to test our knowledge and identify areas of weakness.
Through the exams I have taken so far, I have been able to apply things that I have learnt to my day-to-day role. It also helps me better understand tasks that I am doing and therefore makes carrying out the work much easier. I believe the content we have learnt so far has definitely improved my performance in my job.
