Yes, I have learnt technical skills, for instance I know how to use vendor models such as AIR and RMS, also my confidence using MS Excel has increased as well as scripting software such as SQL.
Can see the added value relating to tracking progress and reporting on Skills, knowledge and behaviours developed. However, the process of doing this could be made more clear.
Deadlines are vague and not kept to, numerous email addresses (of which its hard to keep track of where to send work to), and deliverables are given different names so it is hard to decipher which work needs to be handed in.
A very good amount of support, the graduate coordinator is always communicating with myself and The Growth Company in regards to improvements.
When proactive in my approach, support is offered and fairly regular sessions have been introduced.
Not hugely, it allows us to reflect on things which we have learnt, however this is reinforced in work scenarios anyway so there isn't a significant added benefit of recording it.
Yes, many social events which are a great opportunity to network and many townhall meetings and other pure networking events.

The REACH programme (exclusive to AJ Gallagher) is a unique reinsurance new joiner programme which allows you to see the company from numerous perspectives, also the graduate coordinator is very supportive and always willing to listen to concerns.
Apply to a role which suits their skills, for instance if they gain satisfaction off financial analysis or computer scripting then being an actuary or CAT modeller may be more enjoyable, however if they are more social then broking could be better suited.
