I am a broker analyst and I provide support to the brokers. This involves me performing tasks such as interacting with clients through emails, attending emails, analysing data and creating tracking sheets.
I have further developed and enhanced my excel skills, I have gained the confidence to interact professionally with various different clients. I also believe that I am continuously gaining knowledge on the Reinsurance industry. I believe that I have developed several skills
I have not been on my program long but I do enjoy it, I learn new things everyday and my team are incredibly supportive. It is enjoyable to constantly be challenging yourself as this is an industry most of us are not familar with
My programme is incredibly structured and organised. We have several sessions and tutorials already organised to take us through different sectors of the industry.
I receive quite a lot of support from my employer.
My training provider sometimes can be hard to contact, I assume as they are working with several professionals who are trying to achieve their qualifications. More times than often, I have to chase them up to be able to talk to them
I feel that best way to improve on the role is by doing the role, and immersing yourself in opportunities at work, networking with more experienced individuals and just simply listening. At times it can feel like having to do the qualifications are more like a burden
There are extra-curricular activities to get involved in in my work.
Yes
It is a good place to start your career. I believe the work is interesting, the culture within this industry is really good and there are several opportunities for you to grow you career
I would advise them to be open, as no one expects them to know a lot about reinsurance or even insurance. They want to invest in you and develop you, so be eager
