I currently support project managers on several different projects, by documenting risks and issues, creating and implementing a change control process, creating monthly programme board reports, attending and minuting meetings, action tracking, and liaising with clients and colleagues to ensure all of the above are kept updated and accurate at all times.
The new skills that I have learnt would be understanding the structure of professional meetings and becoming able to confidently chair workshops with our clients. I have also learnt about, and how to use different software which support the projects that I am working on. My existing time management skills have been developed and I have learnt that self organisation is essential in this role.
I enjoy my apprenticeship very much, it has and will continue to provide me with endless opportunities to not only develop me professional ability, but also my personal skills and confidence. I have met some very nice, supportive and interesting people so far and there is always opportunity to challenge myself.
The studying element is very structured, and easy to follow and understand. Initially there wasn't much work for me to get involved in, but as time has passed, I've picked up lots of work and I'm very involved with several projects. The support from my line manager and mentor is very good.
My line manager is very supportive and always responds to any queries and questions I have as soon as possible. She has also enabled me on several occasions to pick up many opportunities which I am very grateful for. My mentor is also very supportive and helpful - very responsive and understanding.
I have regular meetings with a representative from my training provider and there is always opportunity for me to raise any concerns and ask any questions I may have. There is also a lot of support available for any issues I may be facing, whether this is workload related, mental health and wellbeing, safety ad security and also financial.
At the moment, the links between my qualification and work have been limited, however I am still at an early stage in my qualification and I can clearly see how overtime the links will become more apparent and the qualification will support my work load in a more direct way.
There are so many extra-curricular activities to be involved in. Our office holds regular social events for example, a meal and drinks, kayaking, games night and pizza, escape room, bowling and many others too. There have also been charity activities and events, such as a beach clean and a walking and camping event.

The opportunities are endless, my colleagues are so friendly and supportive and the benefits are incredible. Arcadis really ensure that work-life balance is good and wellbeing is very important. Working from home, and the office, allows for a better work life balance and reduces cost and time required for commuting.
Be yourself and don't be afraid to put yourself out there! Everybody is so friendly and welcoming. The interview and assessment days are really just to explore who you are and what you aspire to do and achieve. I have met so many different people so far and I have loved the opportunities and support from Arcadis.
