I am Service Team Leader for our Ford Transit Service Centre in Scunthorpe. I look after all things in the service department. I help my service advisor with anything he needs. I look after the team in the workshop. I deal with customer complaints and any other challenging queries. I also monitor service performance and productivity, making sure we are always up to a set standard.
During the start of my position her in Motus I have learnt so much. I am in a new role as a team leader as a progression from all my previous technician job roles. I have learnt how to overcome a lot of challenging issues both staff and customer related.
I am really enjoying the programme I am on, this is something I have always wanted to do in my career. This programme is teaching me so much about being the best leader I can be. There is what feels like a lot of work to do but I know it will be worth it all in the end.
Very well organised! We have monthly set targets. We have monthly mentoring set in stone all sent at the beginning of the course so we can arrange our diary around them accordingly. Our mentors and leaders are always around and available to give us any assistance as soon as required.
My employer is very supportive for me and my course. There are a lot of us doing this apprenticeship within the company. I have support from my manager and mentor whenever I need them. There is a few people within the company that have already completed this program and they are always willing to help too.
I can not praise my training provider enough to be honest. A few times so far I have called and had a teams call set within the hour to overcome any difficulties I am having with the program. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is very good at what he does and I enjoy the sessions with him.
This qualification is perfect for my role. I am new to this role and the program is exactly what my role is. I am becoming a far better leader with it then I would be if I was to be doing this job without this course. Everything I am learning on the course I am putting in to practice every day.
Motus as a company always have activities and events going on for lots of different things each month. They're currently doing a charity raising event for refugees in Ukraine. I haven't yet taken part in any of them as I am fairly busy in and out of work but I would consider it one day.
Yes
I have worked for a lot of companies in the motor trade since leaving school. Motus Commercials is by far the best company I have worked for! I really feel we need to do more to push our name out in the trade show who we are and how good we are.
Be honest and trustworthy. Motus commercials is a people company, we look after our people. Loyalty and respect is a key. This company will drive you to the place that you want to be. If your ambitious and know where you want your career to go I believe Motus Commercials is the company that will get you there.
