I start my day by giving the workshop a tidy up and cleaning the floors with the floor cleaner. I then go to my mentor and assist him in the task he is doing. i will work with him most of the day unless another job has arised for me such as an mot wash or giving someone a lift to collect a vehicle.
i am learning new skills everyday when my mentor teaches me different ways to do certain jobs and tells me what to work on and how to do it better. My existing skills are also improving all the time as i get quicker at jobs i do often while still being completed to the best standard possible.
i am really enjoying my programme. My college dates should be in soon for the start of the next semester in September. i get on well with everyone in my workshop and my managers. i am excited to see what can happen in the future with my career and apprenticeship.
my programme seems to be well structured. I get frequent emails from my training providers for different forums and my skills coach comes into my workplace often to check up on me and give me some more tasks for the next visit. he also makes sure everything is okay in the workshop.
my employer is good when it comes to support. if there is any problems i have i know they will help to the best of their ability. my manager is very understanding of everything and checks up on everyone every week. i am happy with the level of support i get from my employer.
my training provider seems to be very good with support. there is a whatsapp group with one of my training coaches and other apprentices where everyone can ask questions and learn about anything to do with their courses. i can also email them privately if there is any problems or issues.
i feel my qualification will help me a lot as when i am qualified i will be able to take on any job required of me and be able to give it my best shot with the knowledge and skills i have gained from my training course and my workplace
due to covid there has not been any extra curricular activities at my workplace since i have started
Yes
i enjoy my workplace and the company i work for and feel that other people would get on well here aswell
just to always try their best and the employer will recognise it
