In my current job role, it requires me to mostly serve and help customers. i work on the checkouts at frontend and so i have to always be as friendly and considerate as possible as it can change a customers day quite easily depending on how i choose to act to serve them.
i learned new skills both through starting this job as well as starting and completing my apprenticeship. i gained more customer service knowledge as well as added confidence. the apprenticeship course taught me how to do things that i wouldn't have necessarily learend doing the job role i do, but it was extra knowledge and helps me work better
i enjoyed the programme fairly well as i enjoy having tasks to complete for deadlines whilst adding knowledge to my every day tasks. i feel as though my programme did teach me a lot of important facts as well relating to health and safety and such, which i dont think i would have gotten to learn as quickly
i found it very well constructed as we made a chart and labelled them colour coordinated in a way where i knew which tasks i was completing for when, so i could then organise myself in a manner which helped keep me satisfied with my learning and helped to guide me through the course
i recieve necessary support from my employer, they are very supportive when i need them to be and they try to understand every situation to the best of their ability. i find that they are well educated and people as well, rather than some employers who seem to forget we are all human
i received some time whilst working in which i was allowed to participate in my work to achieving the apprenticeship but i feel as though i was distracted by customers and had to go onto a till more than i would have liked as it made it harder for me to focus on the work
i feel as though i have added knowledge now and so i can work more confidently in areas i may have found harder or more daunting to begin with when i joined the company. i am glad i got to participate and learned all of the new things that i managed to
yes, there is moree activities happening now that covid isnt as bad as it was when i was just starting here. there is quiz nights as well as staff nights to try and bond and get a better team, who all get along to the best of their ability at all times
Yes
it is a good company to work for, the team in my store are great and we all get along so well as well as being a store with a very good pension and benefits such as dicsounted glasses, cinema deals and of course our staff discount for products as well
i would say to focus and if its a job you think you would enjoy then to go for it as i have enjoye the majority of my shifts here, even on my worse days when i feel as though i am struggling in every aspect of my life and not just my work life
