My job role is to undertake responsibilities such as: ensuring all queries are answered efficiently and effectively, as and when required both within and outside of the company; sending invites to employment inductions and safeguarding sessions; filing away documents; requesting quarterly reviews from other apprentices and host organisations; and creating holiday planners for some apprentices.
I believe I have strengthened my punctuality and time-keeping skills as I am always on time for work and get allocated tasks completed efficiently as well as using my initiative in prioritising tasks in order to run smoothly. I have definitely gained basic administrative skills, such as filing accurately, creating documents and sending them out; I also believe that I have strengthened my telephone and online video meeting manner.
I am really enjoying my programme so far, I have learnt so many new skills and met so many lovely people. I know that this programme will help widen my horizons for potential future job prospects or promotions and even just life skills that I can gain from this to better myself as a person.
I believe that the programme is very strong in its structure, we are given opportunity to go to induction before we start to help us understand our journey better. We are given opportunities for CPD throughout our apprenticeships and i also believe queries are answered as quickly as can be.
Personally, I have received support within my apprenticeship and job role as and when I have needed it. I understand that within an ATA, there are a lot of apprentices that all require help and support and I truly know that they will help as soon as they physically can, not only because they have to but also because they want to.
I receive a great amount of support from my training provider as well as my line manager, I know that I am able to ask for support and they want to and will help when they can.
I am able to get a better and deeper understanding of the background of my role. It also gives me knowledge as to how I can use my job role and also how they fit in within other aspects of my life.
We have multiple away days in a year in which the company all get together to better understand the company's goals, socialise and get to physically see each other, as there are a lot of work from home roles within the company. There are also opportunities for me to go into head office as a way to strengthen my working relationships with others in the company too.
Yes
I truly believe they care about their apprentices and they really want them to succeed. They offer so many different courses for all types of people and all types of sectors. They offer support as and when needed and really make you feel like a valid part of the company.
If you have any question, ask it - no question is a silly one. They understand that the apprenticeship journey is a brand new thing for most apprentices and thus know that there will be questions. If and when they offer CPD, do it. They really do want to see you succeed.
