1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a Subject Leader I have end-to-end project management responsibility for delivering secure assessment materials (e.g. question papers) and outcomes (e.g. BTEC exam achievements), from Pearson to our customers, to the highest quality, delivered on time, on budget and to the required standard using online assessment tools.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have learnt what I should be doing rather than muddling along and not understanding any of the language or processes.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Love the programme. I have knowledgeable tutors who have real experience and can also teach.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

Other than some delays in communications its a well structured course with all that I need provided

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

From my Apprenticeship support I received 100% from my Line Manager and Department I do not receive a lot of support.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

100% everytime I have an issue they will do what they can to ensure it is managed and I get the best experience possible

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I now understand the world of work I am in but I have not had any real opps to embed or hone my skills but I know that from my learning I would be able to if given the opp

Yes

9b. Why?

Other than my immediate line manager and their boss all other teams I have worked with are value the skills I have.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pearson plc?

Don't apply for VQ Assessment or WFS but any other department as we are the project based division and therefore its not a stable environment. The rest of Pearson is supportive and caring.
