Running and managing the pub on a day to day basis making sure the team know what they are doing for the day serving customers food and drink and clearing and resetting tables taking cash and card payments booking people in on tables making coffees and puddings, dealing with complaints and general enquiries. Having general chats with team and customers
Yes my confidence has improved a lot and my ability to deal with conflict and confrontation has grown tremendously. I have learnt lots of new skills like time management and list making. Pairing of wine for different menu items I understand the importance of policy's and procedures and following them and making the team aware of these also
I enjoyed the new lay out of the programme and having set work that I can just work through at my own pace I enjoyed the end point assessment even though it was very nerve racking but I felt I had achieved something I also felt that having my assessor to help was an amazing support
Very well organised I liked the way all the work was set at once an I could work through at my own pace and send to my assor when I had completed I liked the extra learning section also. The only thing I would change is some of the questions at the end as these where every mis leading and hard to figure out
My employer was very supportive with the whole course and helped along the way with the assessment at the end and helping me with any questions during the course if I had them. My boss actually stepped in when I didn't have anyone for my speaking and listening so that was a huge help
[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] was amazing I have done 2 nvqs with this lady and I would definitely do another if I was offered one. She was so helpful and understanding when needed and make sure I had everything I needed to complete the course
As I said before my confidence has improved 100% and my knowledge of the things i need to know has improved as well I really enjoyed doing the course and I would definitely do it again if offered as it has given me a boost that I needed and the knowledge to take the next steps in my career
We have drinks after work which is about the only friendship group I have other than my family also do lots of fundraising for mcmillan cancer so that is a social aspect we do a share the staff if other pubs need help we will go and help them if needed
