My placement has consisted of one 4 month audit. My role as an FS2 consisted of testing various FSLIs (PPE, intangibles, accruals), as well as extensive testing over the notes to the financial statements,
Yes, I have been exposed to new experiences such as in-person client interaction which has boosted my confidence and increased my involvement in the audit. I have also been given increased responsibility during my placement which I have thoroughly enjoyed.
I thoroughly enjoy this programme, it is an amazing opportunity to experience the world of audit whilst also studying accounting at university.
The programme is very well structured with consideration being given to the organisation of the months we worked at PwC.
I received a lot of support from my employer. I had a career coach, as well as check ins to ensure everything was okay. My team was also very supportive throughout the audit.
I did not complete any exams whilst at PwC, I instead completed them when I was at university.
My qualification gained through university helps me gain theoretical knowledge which I can then apply to my role at work. It ensures that I have the applicable skill set to understand and know what I am doing and why.
Yes, there are extra curricular activities. I attended multiple networking and social events whilst at PwC which helped me integrate into the work environment and develop relationships with my colleagues.
Yes
The people are extremely friendly and I thoroughly enjoy the office environment. The company treat its employees well and facilitate career development.
Always try your best and put 100% into anything you do.
