My experience has involved working with diverse clients throughout y placement applying theoretical knowledge into the corporate world . This allowed me to fast track my process as a future qualified my accountant with one of the largest audit firms in the world.
I learnt communication skills, Microsoft excel skills, organization skills etc with training specific to the engagement database of PwC.
It was a really interesting journey to go through at such a young age. I had flying start champions helping me throughout this placement. It was a different world altogether but definitely something I am grateful for.
It was poor in terms of organization as we joined and there was no one who was informed of the actual date we came into the office. There was no proper introduction or office tours. There were also issues in resourcing and accomodation. All of these issues could be looked into to improve the experience
I learnt quite a bit about how the company applies its core values into the workplace and operation of the Gems platform to recognize work done by each individual.
Its has helped me understand the type of work I would be doing in the future and whether It is something I would want to do and the working hours I would want to take upon considering business environment as well.
Yes I was paid for this experience.
There were loads of opportunities for meeting new people through industry socials. The social environment in the company is great and I have made really good friends in the office.
Yes
It would depend on their career path but PwC is one of the biggest firms in the world having the perfect balance of work and social life with a very welcoming environment.
Try to complete as many ICAEW papers as possible as it gives you a headstart when you first join the company and you would be able to understand way more.
