The programme was well set out with interaction between all persons involved & not just the coach telling us things from a slide. For example there were little workshop sessions to do, group discussions, times where you can share any experiences of a situation you have had, etc
very well structured - the programme was split into different modules with activities to do and presentations to do at the end of each module
My store manager was very accommodating and was always around to support as/when required. I could also set aside time to continue any activities I needed to do
I had lots of support. Shane was a brilliant coach and was always there to answer any questions I may have at any time
I feel I know more about why we do things in store - before the programme, I did things because "that's what we do" but now I understand why we do them and how it can effect colleagues
We have annual team-based days out - usually paintball/laser quest and the like.
Yes
Wickes are the best company I have worked with due to their flexibility - they work around your schedule a lot more than other companies...evidenced by when people come from other jobs and they get worried that they can't do a shift - I'll say "go talk to the manager, it'll probably be fine" and they look at you as if to say "really???" We are like a family in Wickes and it shows by how happy and relaxed people are - not running around stressed all the time.
Go for it - the pay is minimal but it is such a great place to work that to some, it is more preferable than being paid a lot, but being unhappy
