I supported team from 4-15 people on audits of banking and capital market clients. I supported teams by creating detailed trackers to present to various members of the financial management department and the CFO to ensure the client was aware of what was outstanding on their side. I was able to develop the skill of professional scepticism throughout the audit process by not taking evidence at face value and always having a questioning mind. The best part of the placement was developing strong and meaningful relationships with the client and my teams.
I have developed the skill of professional scepticism whilst on my placement. This is having a questioning mind and never taking audit evidence at face value. I have also learned how important the skill of communication is whether that be communication with your team or communication with the client.
I really enjoyed my placement. It was an excellent experience
Everything was organised well.
I was treated like a graduate which I thought was an excellent way of showing me what it would be like to work there.
The work experience showed me how many skills I can gain from a career in audit at PwC. I am looking forward to the possibility of returning upon graduation
