I look at different FSLI's within the audit file and complete this within the highest quality. I often communicate with the client in order to obtain necessary information to help me achieve this. As a result I am therefore able to complete my work efficiently whilst demonstrating audit behaviours.
I have managed to learn new audit behaviours such as professional scepticism and learn how to implement this on a daily basis within the audit, more specifically when receiving information from the client. This enables me to ask the right questions and not just look at things at first hand
I very much enjoy my programme. I am able to take a year off from university to essentially work and get a taste for the real world. This is beneficial because I have been able to demonstrate and develop my key attributes whilst also being able to take this into my final year studies
The programme is very much organised and structured. I have been able to take a reasonable time to help study for my chartered accountant qualifications whilst also having the opportunity to be at the forefront of the highest quality of audits for the world's biggest clients. This balance has enabled me to motivate myself for the final year studies
I receive a lot of support from my current employer. There are multiple times in which I have have conversations where I felt most comfortable to talk about anything whether it being work related or not. They are very much welcoming from even before my start date and this continues right through until the last day.
I receive a lot of support from my training provider when working towards a lot of conversations. There have been multiple times where I have been able to ask questions and I have received answers promptly. I also have been given a lot of support with the revision material and the structure they set out heir learning is easy to follow.
The knowledge I gain from my qualifications impact heavily in my role. I am able to perform better knowing that I have a better understanding whilst also having the ability to challenge and be open to challenge as I am able to implement my learning through a daily basis at work
There is a sports and social committee which organises a lot of events outside the office which helps connect and build a network with colleagues outside the office. I have been able to establish a network with people whom I may not necessarily see or speak to in the office as they might not be in my line of service. This includes weekly football, social drinks and even corporate away days
Yes
It is certainly an impactful experience in which one as an individual can learn to understand how specific organisations operates. there is definitely a lot of room to grow and excel in terms of having your own opinion whilst also gaining knowledge about auditing whilst also having the opportunity to work towards a chartered accountant status.
I would certainly advise people to PwC that although it is nice to experience luxuries you most certainly would not get at another firm, It's important to understand that a certain level of hard work is expected to reciprocated whether this be balance working and studying or even putting in those extra hours where necessary. Definitely a memorable experience and one that I have enjoyed!
