  • A week packed with presentations, mentoring and a project. An opportunity to get to know BDO, some members of staff, talk to fellow students and get an insight into accounting.

  • To think more about my personal brand and others first impressions about me, to have a better understanding of the different streams in accounting and a chance to expand my network.

  • 3. To what extent did you enjoy your virtual experience?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, I am so glad I applied and it was much better than I was expecting it to be given that is was completely virtual. I am very keen on becoming a member of BDO once I have finished my a-levels.

  • Very organised. It is clear that the EiC team planned this week thoroughly to make it as engaging and as interesting as possible for us students.

  • 5. How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?
  • Very much, we got to hear from a range of staff at all different career levels from junior to partners. BDO's culture is something I want to be a part of.

  • I am now confident in taking the apprenticeship route over university, and I would very much like for it to be BDO that takes me on.

  • Yes! Every session was meeting new employees or getting a chance to network with fellow students.

  • The culture is amazing and just in one week I got a clear insight into how valuable the employees are to the company and they pride themselves on making sure everyone is being themselves and have a comfortable working environment.
