I learnt about the BDO core values and what different sectors were offered if we were to work at BDO in the future. I also had the opportunity to chat to staff members.
I improved my communication and team work skills. I also learn a lot more about how to use LinkedIn, what to say in an interview as well as CV
I wish the work experience would have been in real life. Despite this I had a lot of fun
the work experience was very organized. I had different activities each day and was given a timetable and sent all the links. However, there were sometimes some technical issues.
I think this is BDO's most strongest point as we got to chat with several staff members in small groups in which they answered openly and they had a few sessions on BDO's values and such.
It helped me narrow down what I do not want to do in the future definitely but I am still not entirely sure what I would like to pursue in the future. The staff did give very helpful advice
I was not paid but I did get some merchandise
there were a lot of networking opportunities and I met other employees who were all very friendly
Yes
Overall, I had a very good experience during the insight week and learnt a lot.
