Pinsent Masons provided an introduction to law with various sessions educating us on the different strands of commercial law, interactive activities, and independent legal work.
I learnt: practical skills including filling out a lease report and summarising contracts, how to best present an argument, a lot about pinsent Masons as a firm, how to enter law, how to navigate contract law, what is entailed within the term commercial awareness, and so much more
I felt that there was a perfect mix between interactive presentations, independent work, and group tasks. I thought that the days were the perfect length with enough breaks that i did not get bored or feel as if I was spending too much time on my computer. Everyone running the programme was extremely helpful and kind and it made the experience so much more comfortable.
I thought that it was very well organised! Forage was extremely helpful and easy to navigate. I did have connection problems once or twice but that was on my side so apologies for potentially being late to one or two sessions.
I really enjoyed Pinsent Masons' ethos and found everyone approachable and engaging. I thought the nature of the programme was vary innovative and accessible and found the atmosphere very relaxed (in a good was - non stress inducing).
As a very indecisive person, the programme definitely helped me narrow down my prospects a lot but I think more research and experience is necessary before completely deciding what I would like to do
no? I'm not fully sure what this question means
Yes definitely! I understand that because of our age and due to safeguarding circumstances we can't contact programme leaders directly but there were lots of opportunities to meet each other and the student email is very active and helpful in answering questions.
Yes
I think that the experience is invaluable to anyone considering law. Pinsent Masons has achieved the perfect balance between independent practical work, educational presentations, and group debates. I've acquired so many skills - both legal and general!
You get as much out of the programme as you put in. There are countless opportunities to ask questions, engage in group activities, or thrive in the independent work and the best way to enjoy your experience as much as you possible can is to put in 100%!
